I agree that VT has players who are effective in the post.


Also, I agree that a team needs to shoot effectively inside and out in order to make a deep run. At the same time, has VT utilize its post game during the regular season that it feels confident enough to rely on it as a method of scoring if the outside game is going through a cold spell or the opposing team is intentionally trying to take away the outside game and make VT 2-dimensional (mid-range and low post)?

The reason I referenced "live by the 3 die by the 3" is because a lot of times when VT is bringing the ball up the court majority players seem to be looking to shoot the 3 first instead of looking to make a pass to a teammate cutting towards the basket or posting up a defender. I'm not saying it is a good or bad thing because it who VT is at this point in the season and I don't see that changing now. However, it doesn't necessarily mean the team is built to make a run in a tournament without getting some help along the way.
